Second challenge - cards!!! Ends 17 October 09

Good morning ladies!

Happy World Cardmaking Day to all of you!

Did you know this was happening? Well, it's a reason to play I thought, so therefore - here's a little challenge for you... I've decided to make this challenge a little bit different, so pay attention.



The challenge will go for TWO weeks, and during this time, you can make as many cards as you like. And why would you do that you ask? Because for every card you make, you collect ONE POINT, and more points will get you more chances in the RAK draw. And there's not only one RAK in this challenge, but TWO!!

Adrienne and Pauline are sending one RAK out, and I will send one too!!

And how do you get MORE points?

You get one extra point for using a paper or embellishment that can be found in the shop (cardstock doesn't count). This item must be explained in the gallery description.

You get one extra point if the card is a birthday card (doesn't have to be a "Happy Birthday Scrappin' Patch" card).

Aaaaaaand to get an extra FIVE points - upload one card within the first 24 hours of this challenge (before 9.30am Sunday 4 October)!!!

Before I show the awesome cards from our team, I'd like to mention that our lovely Debbie Blincoe/DebsB is trying to sort out a way to send some cards to our friends in Samoa. This challenge gives you an oppportunity to make one or more cards for this cause if you want to. Feel free to PM me or Debbie if you'd like to be a part of this.

Remember how fun it was when we got real mail in the mailbox, well, let's do that these weeks, shall we??

Awesome challenge annelie and I am def in - in a total card making mode at the moment....Thank you as well for mentioning my card drive...i have made contact with an awesome group that are sending containers and you name it over to Samoa...they are an amazing group....By Monday morning I should have about 80-100 cards made with wellwishes in them! The amount of cards I am making are totally seperate from getting points for this challenge..>I will be making seperate cards for this!

I needed a jump start (or a kick up the rear) to get my creative juices thundering, especially since Ive got heaps of birthdays at this end of the year - what great timing!
And Vicki as long as you are having fun creating then waht does it matter, we all started somewhere, and Lord knows my first creation was nothing compared to where I am now. And remember we are our own worst critic!

Quite by accident I made two cards tonight. wasn't to impressed with the first draft (cant get the hang of patterns on patterns ) so once I had finished that decided to do a monocolour one which I think looks better. Uploading them both. Having lots of fun with this challenge. Because of the holidays and a little more in cruise mode am trying to create something each day. Its all good.

Ladies, the gallery is FANTABULOUS!!!

I will go through it all tonight when my sick girls are sleeping (fingers crossed) and will do the draw for TWO RAK's.

Do y'all realise - there are 60 cards in the folder in the gallery!!! I am blown away! Took me some time to go trough and put down the points...



This is how I did the draw - I summed up all your points, wrote your name down on little notes as many times as your points (do I make sens???) and then I let DH draw two names out of my hat! (yes, I ave a hat!!)

Have now got TWO random winners, who will get something in the post. One from the PATCH ladies, and one from me. So.........
