MAN Friday ends 10/04/09-Winner annouced

Good morning ladies!!

As you might have read in the "latest news" category, we are today introducing the MAN FRIDAY! Doesn't that sound exciting???

I knnow a few of you already have mastered the masculine pages, but there are many of us (including me!!!) who just can't help but put flowers and swirls and all sorts of gorgeous things on all our creatios! Well. We'd like to challenge you to NOT do that!

My challenge today is to make a masculine page, about one of the MEN in your life/surroundings - NOT using those flowers and swirls and "girly" embellishments. I'd also like you to choose at least TWO of the techniques I have used on my LO below, and use them on your LO. This is the one I've been sneaking you peeks on:

Image

As you can see, I've used a few different techniques here. There's distressing, inking, paper tearing, paper rolling, stapling, mix of fonts in title, for example. You can also choose to "lift" my colours, my circle, or anything else that tickles your fancy. If your choice is not obvious, just let us know what you have chosen when you load your LO!

Your LO will need to be loaded before midnight on Friday 10 April to be in to win a RAK from the lovely Adrienne and Pauline.

A gallery for this challenge will be set up later today, I just need to sort my girls out first!!

Have FUN with this ladies, can't wait to see all the men in your lives!!!

:)

Very nice Annelie. Love the idea of Man Friday but leaving off the swirlies and flowers is definitely going to be a challenge. LOL :D

Love the layout and challenge... Especially the fact that you don't want girly, coz I've got a boy!! Brilliant - hubby won't moan about flowers on his page for once :D hoping to find some time to do it

Very very cool Annelie, and great challenge. Good luck to you all; I'm not at all sure I could do a layout with no girly stuff on it... I guess I'm gonna have to give it a go one day...

Great layout Annelie!
I only have boys in my house - even the dog is a boy!! So, I quite like to put the flowers and the bling in on a masuline layout - otherwise I'd NEVER get to use them. But I do like this challenge, so I'm hoping to give it a go :D

I've whipped up a layout tonight - yep, definitely masculine, no frillies ... and it was a lot harder than I thought ...

Annelie, I really, really, really wanted to add a little bling, just a little bit ... but I didn't

Thank you for the challenge ...
